Bathroom Remodel Pricing
Bathroom remodels start at $16,000 for a regular-size bathroom. That is a build-only starting price; permits and design are extra. Starting prices aren't a quote; the final price is set in your free written estimate.
Your price depends on the size of the room, whether plumbing moves, the tile and fixtures you choose and what we find once the old finishes come off. We explain the estimate line by line.
Permits for Bathroom Remodels
Inside the City of Los Angeles, bathroom remodeling work generally needs a permit from LADBS. Like-for-like updates, such as new tile, a vanity and fixtures in the same spots, may qualify for a quicker express permit, while changing walls or openings typically needs plan review.
Homes outside city limits are permitted by their own city or county building department. We'll explain what your project is likely to need; the city makes the final permit decision.

Bathroom Remodeling FAQ
What does a bathroom remodel cost in Los Angeles?
Bathroom remodels start at $16,000 for a regular-size bathroom as a build-only starting price; permits and design are extra, and the final price is set in your written estimate.
Do I need a permit for a bathroom remodel?
Usually, yes, if your home is in the City of Los Angeles, and the city makes the final permit decision. We'll walk you through it.
Can you convert my tub into a walk-in shower?
Yes. It's one of the most common requests we get.
Can you move the toilet or shower?
Often. Moving plumbing adds work and may change the permit, so we check the floor and walls first.
Will I have a working bathroom during the project?
If you have a second bathroom, most families use it during the work. If not, we'll plan the schedule with you.
